Barbecues and shooting stars

Last night we had a lovely little barbecue and then lay around looking at stars; someone thought they saw a fireball in the corner of the sky, but we didn't see any more. I think it's about time for a big Pleiades display.

Today Darrell and Becky came over to deliver our wedding-present; a breadmaker. It's fascinating; I must find somewhere for it to live, and make some bread in it, soon.

While they were here we filled the old paddling pool and sploshed about a bit. The heat is much more bearable.

Then we did more housework, and asked Janice and Emma over again.
