Job Applications, Sim City, and the Open University

So today I was happily playing Sim City again, doing rather better this time, and suddenly Rob tells me it's 4.30. I still have two job applications to fill in and submit, and I have to assemble all my OU stuff and get to my tutorial.

Dangerous, dangerous game. I forgot to eat, I forgot to do housework, I forgot to look for work. I didn't apply for anything off the net today.

So I filled in the forms, found copies of my CV for good measure, and put it all into envelopes. Then I discovered that the "Ethnic origin" part of one form was missing, but luckily it was for the job with an application deadline of Monday.

So I stepped out the front door with my cup of tea for a cigarette before I set off to town to hand in my application and go to class. And there, passing, was one of my neighbours who has similar hand-arm dysfunctions to mine (though his are far worse and more permanent), and who also happens to be rather nice. So I had a brief chat with him, and set off.
