We seem to have this pattern; when crisis hits the family, it's my job to manage the crisis/support the ill child/whatever, and his to support me. Like mad. I have this constant loving support backing me up all the time. I used to be angry that I had to do "all the coping" and then I realised that we were both doing what we did best, and it works.
