Today was all about housework and making bread, then all about painting. We have discovered that our cut-price shortcut plan for the east wall of the back bedroom won't work and we'll have to do it properly, which is actually lovely, because it will be much nicer if it's done properly. Rob is upstairs right now painting the bits I can't reach with undercoat, which has to dry for six hours, and then tomorrow we only have 2-hour painting to do, which is much better. I will probably do most of the painting while he dismantles furniture, we think.
It's getting exciting now. At least, I'm excited. I am quite pleased about my bedroom, and really pleased about the children getting a bigger, brighter, more pleasant room; I hope a nicer room is easier to play and work in.
Tomorrow will also feature powertools and floor-washing, but one can't have everything, after all.
If tomorrow goes to plan, I can make my tree next.
