- We all left the house today
- We had delicious peanut-butter cookies
- We had lunch out
- I picked up a painting to pack and post
- I ordered some Lego pieces to make up the shortfall in the house-building possibilities
- A pair of summer trousers and a skil dress/skirt arrived from the Nomads sale
- My feet stayed warm and comfy in my new Birkenstock sandals
- The children and I spent quality time in a bookshop and bought some books with their tokens. I then read 45 pages to Emer while Linnea was at Girls' Brigade, which was as much as I could do before my throat gave out
- Linnea and Emer drew on the footpath and played hopscotch
- I bought a teabag tin, with eight sections for eight types of teabag. I'll have to pick up another in another colour, but I'm pleased with it. If one shop-box of tea is behind another, we're liable to forget we have it when offering people their choices. Oh, yes, ok, I admit it, it was both shiny and spotty. I couldn't help myself.
- Astrid had a real honestergod NAP this afternoon. NOT on ME.
- Linnea is reading up a storm and the people in the bookshop adored Linnea AND Emer and it was GREAT.
- A Swedish bookshop staff person was explaining to a clearly monolingual English staff person that there are other letters in the alphabet, some places. It was a lovely mind-opening moment to watch.
