Jan. 20th, 2011 01:37 pmIt's lunchtime! I've emptied the dishwasher and am running it empty to clean the spray arms. I've also put on a load of laundry.
We've had lunch. We went, with Rob, to a café on the Oxford Road called Kaff's Cafe, which is where Pete's Cafe used to be, and it's transformed. It's clean, there's space to get a buggy or a walker in, the walls, ceiling, tables and cutlery are clean, the kitchen smells clean, it's bright and cheerful, there are clean tablecloths on the tables, there's a baby's highchair which they wiped clean before we used it (without being asked) and they were very cheap, too. It's still basically fried breakfasts, roast dinners, egg and chips, beans and chips, chips and chips, and builders' tea, but it was lovely and we'll go back. They have colouring books and crayons, too.
Before that we went to the chemist next to the second-hand furniture place, and got my prescription filled.
Before that we went to the GP and got confirmation that I am doing all the right things. I'm going to get checked for diabetes but anyway a blood sugar crash in the mornings is highly likely given the demands on my system and my recent weightloss, so it's flapjacks ahoy at bedtime again.
Before that we had Mary come and visit, and we all had tea and read books and so on.
Before that I got myself, Emer and Astrid all up and dressed in clean clothes (Linnea didn't get dressed until it was time to leave the house). Emer's hair is in bunches again, with her flower-clip.
Before that I brushed my teeth and had coffee and orange juice.
Yes.
