Anticipatory Astrid
Aug. 10th, 2010 11:22 pmShe smiles!
She smiles when she's happy and when she knows she's about to be happy. She grizzles and grumbles and then when I pick her up she stops, and as I raise my top she starts to smile.
She beams madly when her sisters touch her face with their faces.
Today she and I were playing a game with a couple of tag tails from a game - these are basically stuffed toy animal tails - and I took the tiger one and bopped her on the nose and said BEEP!
And I did it again.
And the third time, she smiled a little.
And the fourth time, she smiled THIIIIIS MUUUUUUUUCH.
She smiles when I pick her up and talk to her.
She smiles when I grin at her.
I feel wanted and loved.
And when she needs a new nappy, she calms as soon as she is laid down and her clothes begin to be unfastened.
I think she can - and does - anticipate that her needs are going to be met. It makes for a pretty quiet life for us.
Also, she rolled over in her sleep today. Twice. There isn't room to do this in the moses basket but we may need to keep an eye on her for tipping. Hmm.
