Big tub

We have the big pool inflated in our living room. It's huge. We filled it today and yesterday, and it's doing wonders for my various pains, which is good, because the back pain is ramping up significantly. Also the children think it's the best thing in the world and we should keep it forever. Rob is reluctant to throw the sofa away though, so we probably can't...

We got the jasmine tied back so it will hopefully recover from its brutal pruning. And the leakless sandpit is in; we've lost about half the sand through the leaks but we needn't lose any more. And its lid will make a paddling pool, so that's a bonus.

Rob made a fabulous quiche and a lovely apple pie for dinner tonight. And tomorrow the midwife and I are off to the hospital to speak to the consultant. 37 weeks; that's term; any time now would be fine...

Well, perhaps give me another day or two to launder some baby clothes.

The Big Pool

Time to inflate: Under an hour with the footpump.
Time to fill: About an hour, we were bad at timing it.
Time to empty: About three hours with siphon, the last bit bailed.
Time to deflate: Ten minutes or less.
Time it's usable for making me feel better: Hours and hours and hours.

Mind you, the water wastage is serious.
