Sunshine

In a minute I'll go and hang the first load of laundry, and wash more. It's bedding; post-guest bedding, our own, the lot. Right now I'm drinking unusually weak coffee (1 tablespoon grounds per mug) from the coffee pot my mother bought me in a charity shop.

... oh, I did that. Right. Also more laundry on. And some in off the line from overnight drying.

For some reason this year we're not waking as early as other summers. I wonder whether it's the lower temperatures or the older babies? When Linnea was as old as Emer is now we had a newborn.

Well-a-day

I woke up feeling well and bathed in sunlight. I did masses and masses of laundry and may have reached the end of the pile. The children refused breakfast, but after we had lunch (meatballs and potatoes) they asked for and received bowls of porridge.

I made three lovely loads of bread and two pots of coffee. We had people over in the afternoon and no-one got badly hurt.

We're having leftovers for dinner too.

But it's been a lovely day.
