Mum and I are back from Bath and she's been in bed for hours. We're both tired but we had a lovely relaxing time. Rob and the children were fine without me but after 20 hours without Emer I was woken up by the pain of engorgement; an hour hand-expressing in a hot bath helped a bit but I was pleased to see her 9 hours later when we got home.

Being 30 is just like being 25 really. I think.

Mum was all happy about that and then slightly surprised to realise that if I'm 30 today she's 67. Goodness me!

Rob and the girls made us a birthday cake and Linnea blew out our candles for us. Tomorrow I will find my phone and answer all my text messages. I know I have some.

Marjorie the Librarian was on our train home from Reading to Reading West and she kissed me goodbye! I've never got the hang of social kissing. I don't even kiss my mother, and it's surely not because I'm not very close indeed to her. But it was nice Marjorie felt so strongly about all her old customers, or whatever library users are called.

Mum and I went to the Thermae Bath Spa and swam in the rooftop pool. It was too brightly-lit and cloudy to see much in the way of stars, though.
