Today is a better day

I'm up, the girls are up, we all had a bath, and now we're eating breakfast. Slow start but fairly pleasant. I need to find the makings for Linnea's bed because last night's stuff is all in the wash again. She sat up in bed reading a little too long this morning :(

It's grim out today. I am wondering whether turning the heating on would be a wile extravagance (yes) and planning to dress the girls in long trousers. Maybe even vests. I need to crawl into town at some point and slug up to Eclectic Games and the opticians.

Or go back to bed and soundproof the door so I can't hear the children tearing the house down.

Christmas Shopping

No, seriously. I have bought gifts for 14 of 20 under-12s and can now relax until October, when I will buy the remaining 6 and probably start on the adults' gifts too.

We also went to the bookshop, and I made an appointment to get my eyes looked at, and we stopped off at Moondogs on the way home. The telly didn't go on until after Rob got home, which is a vast, impressive improvement on the last few days.

I have great hopes.
