NEW new keyboard
Nov. 28th, 2007 10:27 pmI am typing this on a fully-functional USB Mac keyboard, thanks to the generosity of one
random, which has improved my life enormously. But not my typing.
Other than that, today was a rollercoaster. A parcel of slings for myself and others was delivered, which was elating, and the keyboard, which was fab, and then we went to toddler group, which was good, and then I met up with a friend whose daughter has a complicated relationship with Linnea - Linnea's behaviour deteriorates within minutes of meeting, and stays difficult for the rest of the day, but Linnea utterly adores her and enjoys the time together, though is generally not contented for the rest of the evening after parting. So that's a bit complicated. I also bought Linnea's Christmas present - a pink tutu, ballet slippers, and tights. I was six when I wanted one. And got the earth wire replaced on the trike; a careless lifting incident ripped it away entire recently, naming no names, and the front light stopped working. I need my light.
We got home late - normal when we meet these people - and I went out to the market for food, where I learned that the Wednesday markets near us are being cancelled and the Tuesday ones at Downshire Square are now weekly instead of twice a month. The problem is the hill I have to go up to get to Downshire Square. But we now have tons of lovely seasonal vegetables and rooibos tea and things like that. Oh, and chocolate chip cookies, because I had a difficult day.
Oh, and I have gloves to stop my fingers falling off during winter cycling, for when winter comes. It must be soon; the whole autumn feeling is fading fast, though it's still pretty warm most of the time.
