I've been madly busy. Six days without a post, I think, unless I've miscounted.

Well, this morning I babysat the 3-year-old down the street for a couple of hours. Yesterday we delivered a Christmas present and did some grocery shopping. On Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market; I don't remember what else we did (Edit: Rob's mother came and we sat up late talking and eating treats. I don't remember much else.). On Friday we brought Emer for her second lot of vaccinations and then we went to ERAPA for the last meeting with the home ed gang before we go to Ireland. On Thursday we went to the breastfeeding group in the morning and visited the 3yo in the afternoon so his mother could have a nap. On Wednesday we went to Toddler group and then met up with Hiroko and her daughter. On Tuesday I had a GP appointment and then the NCT coffee group met in my house. On Monday the cleaner came and I went to the Birth Trauma clinic in the afternoon for hopefully the final time.

Also, all this week I've been packing for a month's holiday in Ireland with two children under 3. It's almost all done now, though this evening I was told it may not be happening. I'm going for a week and I'm not repacking; it's easier to lug stuff I don't need than to repack at this stage.

Emer is teething, rattling, reaching out for hugs, doing whatever pre-babbling sounds are called, growing like a magic bean, and the cheeriest, smiliest baby I've ever met.

Linnea is chatting awake ("It is mine actually!") and asleep ("No, my am not cycling.") pretty much non-stop. She builds lego and brick things with astonishing precision and carelessness, is adamant that she can't read in spite of all the evidence, adores Emer beyond belief, and has developed a useful sense (ability?) of deferred gratification.
