Back to the GP today, more antibiotics, and an antiseptic throat spray which provides about 20 minutes' relief and can be used every 2-3 hours.

This morning we had an adult and two kids round for garden play, making gingerbread men (no honey! used an extra egg and some more sugar instead), and messing with musical instruments. It was fab as Linnea was entertained without having to be parked in front of the telly, and I got by with a minimum of pelvic strain.

Then they went and Rob came home and brought me to the doctor, and then we went to the library, since we had the trike out anyway. By the time we got to the library though I was hobbling pretty badly. I couldn't browse for books so I sat as long as I could bear and then we piled back in the trike adn got catfood and flea treatment from the vet's. And then we came home.

I've taken an antibiotic and some soluble paracetemol, and Rob is chopping veg for dinner (cook one, freeze one dinners are the theme of the week). After that, I expect I'll go to bed, as I have to be able to walk tomorrow for the c-section class at the hospital.

Next week, we have childcare for Linnea on Wednesday sorted out, and we've hired cleaners to come on Wednesday too, so that pans out nicely. S can take her one day but we don't know which day yet, and A has volunteered to fill a gap, too. Tuesday morning will be most difficult, I think, because we have to go to an appointment without her in the morning, but we can bring her to the appointment in the afternoon easily enough. Thursday, we can cope with, because in the afternoon the NCT people are coming, so she'll get at least a 2-hour break from TV, and likely longer, because it's cool enough now to let her play in the garden unsupervised, which means I can sit non-painfully.

We're doing pretty well, in other words. Good.
