Mar. 28th, 2006 07:25 pmLinnea's cold is so bad she can't breathe well enough to breastfeed properly. She was up for two hours in the night because she couldn't breathe comfortably enough to sleep, and she woke with a headache. We've broken out the big guns: infant Benylin, max dose. It seems to have helped today.
I'm working my way through boxes and boxes of tissues, and drinking decongestant teas. The tadpole doesn't like the sound of nose-blowing, and has been hurting the muscles that twinge when I roll over in bed. Linnea and I were both sick enough to need a hot meal at lunchtime, and I wasn't well enough to cook one comfortably, so I blew my month's eating out budget on delivery pizza. I had jalapenos on my half in the hope that it would make my nose run. It didn't, much.
The fact that Linnea's cold is turning into a cough is bothering me. If she's still coughing tomorrow I'm taking her to the doctor. She's had this cold since Thursday, and she's given it to me, and I think Rob is going to come down with it too. I wish I could work out a way to catch everything before she does, because in general, if I catch it first, she comes off very lightly, and if she catches it first, she and I are both equally unwell. Bah.
Still, we're getting places. Rob isn't sick yet and there's more daylight while he's at home, so:
