Today was one of those days. Achievements: Did not allow Linnea to kill herself. Bought rucksack cover and camping gas cylinder. Sorted out what food we're bringing to CCDE. Ordered an all-in-one rainsuit for Linnea; if we get stuck in the rain, we're just going to be wet all weekend, so we need some way of keeping her dry-ish. I should be able to pick up her suit tomorrow. I also bought batteries for torches. And took her to play football in the park in the rain, which she enjoyed. And met a friend for coffee (she had Orangina, I had chamomile tea) and fed Linnea meals and tidied up and called the swimming pool to see when I can take Linnea swimming tomorrow and fell asleep without meaning to and woke suddenly to find that Linnea had vanished (she was standing just behind the top of my head) and had found a little tray of Rob's pocket-emptyings containing orally fascinating batteries, fergawdsake, and I dunno what else because she was eating things.
I am seriously tired if I'm falling asleep while on duty. This weekend I may just leave Linnea with her father and crawl into the tent and sleep.
Augh! But this weekend there will be actual adults to talk to! Now what? What a dilemma!
