5 Good things
Dec. 1st, 2004 09:20 pm5 Good Things for Me:
- I met some friends in a cafe today and we had a lovely chat, look at shops, admire babies session.
- I met a new lovely woman in the same cafe later, and found out that she's an NCT member in our area so I may well meet her again soon.
- I did all my morning housework tasks, giving me the rest of the day free.
- My hair looks fabulous; I washed it last night.
- My friend Hiroko bought me some fantastic chocolate from Origins - it's dairy-free with giner and black pepper and some other things.
5 Good Things for Linnea:
- I bought her more jars of food (she has jars for lunch; we live in a convenience culture for a reason) which are organic fruit or veg only - and these ones have no rice or chalk filler! And aren't the most expensive possible! Yippee!
- She had two real naps today.
- She slept from 9 pm until 5 am last night. We don't expect this to be a habit, but it was nice.
- She is eating masses and masses of solid (um, semi-solid) food.
- She likes rice cakes.

Third post today
Dec. 1st, 2004 09:35 pmThe other two were formula posts, but even so!
It's 1 December. Later tonight I get to break out the Advent calendar and hang one decoration. We should also write some cards.
Tomorrow is my clerking appointment. I'll think about it tomorrow. Surgery is in 13 days.
I feel a lot less afraid of it than I used to. I know the household will tick over while I'm recovering, because it's more under control daily. I have pain killers if I need them (if!) and no-one expects me to be functional while ill. Lots of people are offering to come and see me or take me to visit them over the Christmas period, almost all in a low-key low-stress low-alcohol way. Last night I had a bath, all on my own, with no-one weeing in it, and I'll have another tonight.
Also, dinner was fantastic - just lamb chops, but what lamb! And Rob grilled them to perfection.
