Urgh. I have spent two days ill. I came to long enough for Ellie and Andy to come over yesterday evening and eat pancakes, but I was too ill to cook them so Andy had to. I had managed to make batter earlier in the day. I have decided that being ill while pregnant is no fun. I can't relax and lie in bed, because none of the positions I can lie in are comfortable (I can see myself sleeping in an armchair for the final month). I can't sit upright reliably. I can't breathe, and I can't take decongestants. I can't think. My throat is a very nasty colour, and I spent most of the night trying to hold my head in various positions to encourage sinus drainage (Yes, most of the night. I got to sleep well after midnight, woke at 2, got to sleep after 3, woke at 5, got to sleep after 9, woke at ten...). Luckily, today Rob is home and was able to bring me drinks and things; yesterday when he was in London was truly awful.

I wish I knew where our thermometer is. I'm slightly afraid that I'm running a temperature, but I can't tell. It could be pregnancy-induced paranoia.

Needless to say, I didn't go to my aqua-natal class this week. I'm not going to dancing class either. But someone did come to collect the coffee-maker I sold on Ebay. We're very close to having sold enough to pay for all the baby stuff we bought, now. This is good - a loft conversion is not cheap, even when we do all the work ourselves. Luckily we're spreading the costs over at least three months. And luckily I get a sense of satisfaction from selling things. With any luck, someone will buy my corner unit. That would bring me into the black and let me maybe buy some bedlinen, though obviously I ought to be making my own from the sheets I inherited from Nana, since they're perfectly good cotton sheets and would cut down to size just fine. But then what would I put on the spare bed for guests? I think I'll allow the baby one or two new things. My mother-in-law will give me any old baby sheets she can find in her house, too.

Maternity pants are great. When I finish being pregnant, I can use them as a parachute.
