New Year's Eve apparently matters

Work again, and again almost no-one is in. At 4 pm I give up and go home, as the motion-sensitive lights in the office have all gone out except for the two by my desk - I am truly the only person here. Then the cleaners arrive and suddenly all is bright again.

Rob and I have invitations to go places but are too tired to accept any of them. So we, ah, don't. We stay home and go to bed before midnight.
