The very last assignment on my course is a sort of exam; it's a timed assignment, which you have to do without any reference books or anything. You get an envelope with the questions and you have two hours to do 'em. So I sat down today and did first the sample questions in the usual assignment book, and then the real, timed one. I think I passed. It took me 30 minutes to read all four questions and note the main points I would make in my answers, and then I chose two questions and answered them in 30 minutes each.

Meanwhile, Rob went and bought Janice's birthday gift from us - a greenhouse. It's a sort of tentlike, shedlike thing; a metal frame with shelves, covered in thick clear plastic. She will grow tomatoes in it, and maybe flowers for my wedding. I'm going to need a lot of daisies.

Home food bleary-eyed TV and sleep. Exams be tiring things.
