Housekeeping and housefixing

We're getting little bits of the bedroom finished. This weekend we will finish the alcove in the bedroom, including erecting a wardrobe rail for Rob's shirts and moving the huge chest of drawers that totally overshadows my sleeping space in an ominous way.

Last night Darrell and Becky dropped around unexpectedly and Rob did things to Darrell's computer and I started playing Scrabble with Becky but I had to phone my sister and it all went a bit pear-shaped. There was a miscommunication - Rob thought he and Darrell had said "We might do computer things on Friday", and Darrell thought they'd said "Rob and Darrell will do computer things on Friday and Becky will visit too."

We need to sort out this visiting thing. We like the people involved, we just need to sort out who visits whom when and with how much notice; I really lik eto get a phonecall before someone shows up on my doorstep, unless of course it's someone I never get to see who is surprising me and they're the sort of person I will always drop everything for. Like my mum.
