ailbhe: (working)

It's not all bad, is it, Janet?

Today I got a letter asking me to attend an interview on Wednesday 13 February.

Omigod omigod omigod.

I've been sending out applications relentlessly since 15 October 2001, and this is the first interview request I've had. This is wonderful. This is marvellous. This is because they couldn't find an excuse not to interview me and have an equal opportunities policy.

That was me being stupid. I'm really pleased about this.

My webcam is alive again; don't ask why, I don't know, I just felt like it.

As the graphic says, you're sweet, hard-working, and loyal. You believe in justice and you're not afraid of sticking with something for a while. You're determined; once you set your mind to something you'll work as hard and long as you have to to achieve that goal.

Believe it or not.

My sister - one of the two I speak to, who I love very much, wanted to know where I'd been at the weekend. I tried to hedge, which was silly, because she could tell I was hedging and kept asking.

The whole story )

Was such a let-down. She just thought it was just a thing, though a better thing than cheating. Not a better or worse thing than monogamy; she can't see why any woman would want any kind of heterosexual relationship at all (cher papa was a bad experience for her) and she's not lesbian or bi, so she doesn't empathise with people wanting homosexual relationships either. But if people want to have relationships, then as long as they're nice to each other, that's fine.

She was much more interested in my job interview, in fact.
