Jewellery and pussycats
Nov. 28th, 2001 03:06 pmThis morning I finally rethreaded the beads from a garnet necklace that Gideon gave me. He gave it to me when I lived in Garnet Street, London. It's nice to be wearing it again. The beads seem to have been handbored; the holes are wider at one end than the other, and of variable size. I threaded them sitting at a table next to a north-facing window with decent daylight, using a nightlight candle to wax the thread, as the beads were too small to use a needle.
About the cat - he's a bit odd. He's very picky about his food. He won't eat wet food, only the dry food we get (Hills brand). But he eats grass and bits of unidentified conifer in the garden.
