Jobhunting

I want to cry. I've just turned down an interview. It feels awful.

It was for a job that I wouldn't much enjoy, which would have been bad for my arms in a great way, but I feel dreadful for turning it down, because, well, it's the only job I've been offered since I was made redundant after getting a work-related temporary disability.

So that's 23 jobs I've applied for this week. One response, and I turned it down.

. . . as I said to the paint in my bedroom. I'm repainting an almost-white wall with primrose yellow paint that looks even paler when wet. This makes it hard to see where I've painted and where I haven't. In addition, the corners look green. I don't know why, but they do. Maybe it'll go away when they're dry.

I've only done one wall and a couple of bits so far; I wanted to get that bit done so that next week, when we get back from visiting Rob's parents, we can do the rest of the room without having to move the bed again. Just the clothesrails and so on.

Really, I should have stripped the wallpaper and replastered, but it's such a mess I can't be bothered this year.
