I eat ALL THE TIME and nonetheless I am ALWAYS HUNGRY.

It's worse today because Emer didn't eat properly yesterday (molars?) and so I was feeding her ALL NIGHT.

Augh.

I must buy more rectal paracetamol for her, we used the last one yesterday evening.

Is rectal paracetamol easily available and less unpleasant than trying to force calpol into a writhing, spitting baby?

Because if so it might save my life.

Sympathy on the all night feeding, we've been having that too :(

To make Emer swallow oral medication we have to hold her down, force her jaws apart, force the syringe into her mouth, inject it down the back of her tongue, wait for her to swallow, wait for her to gag it back up, and then force her to swallow it again, all the while pinching her lips shut. If it goes near the front of her mouth she spits it out through her lips, because we can't get a perfect seal.

Rectal paracetamol is easier than that. Especially for the baby.

Me too. I eat a bar of green and blacks dark chocolate A DAY. And crisps and 3 large meals and a 11 o'clock sandwich. People watch me eat with a look of horror.
