Where does the time go?

Washed
Dressed
Did hair
Had breakfast
Washed dishes
Hung two loads of laundry outside
Put another load in the machine
Cleared and cleaned table for painting
Tidied two downstairs rooms, not that you can tell in the room with the toys
Washed bathroom, rear hall, and kitchen floors
Spent five minutes just laughing with Linnea, for no reason either of us could see, but it was very huggly and very very pleasant.

Tidied again.
Applied sunscreen to self and daughter.
Took Linnea out for lunch, met another family, went to a community garden and played ball, watched tadpoles, and sat.

Came home, changed appalling nappy.

Took dry laundry in, put more wet laundry out.
Washed half a dozen 500ml bottles and filled them with water for the fridge.
Sorted and folded dry laundry.
Drank 500ml water.

I *must* have done more than that. I'm knackered.

You have done loads!

And changing even one appalling nappy is enough to knacker anyone for the rest of the day, so anything else you got done after that is a bonus ;-)

It looks like plenty to me. What have I done today? Got up, fed girl, played with her, sent some emails, put her down for a nap, took a shower, played on LJ.....

That sounds plenty.

And please, I have a favour to ask. I edit our local NCT newsletter, and I wondered if I could use the piece you wrote on "Mothers, and how they hurt each other"? Because it seems to me like the most sensible thing I've read on breastfeeding in a long time.

Lovely, ty, and of course I will send you a copy (email me your address please? nicola_parkin@hotmail.com).

And I shall enjoy publishing it very much. Ah, power...

You didn't count
getting from home to out to lunch,
getting from lunch to community garden,
getting from community garden back to home

That sounds like it takes energy in itself. Was that by bicycle or on foot?

You have done absolutely LOADS today! Simply being pregnant is a whole barrel of tiredness on its own, IMHO.
All the best for this evening.

Wow!! You blow me away!!! How on earth can you get that much laundry done? When I do it, Tyler unfolds is as quickly as I fold/hang it.

You did all that and you're pregnant. That's why you're knackered. And that nappy. One appalling nappy is enough to knacker anyone. And you did actually do loads.
