Slow, slow morning
Everyone has had breakfast, and both children have had their hair brushed (after almost a week of not!) and Emer and I have brushed our teeth and I've put on a load of laundry.
I really need to get moving - it's after 10 am - but feel snailish.
Linnea needs her teeth brushed, and both children need to get dressed.
I'm dressed in my old high-waisted Gap jeans, which
clanwilliam helped me to buy six years ago, and I'm finding them very comfortable. They sit at my waist, which means that they aren't sliding down even though the hips are a little looser than they used to be. The trousers I bought more recently are all low-waisted and prone to fall down at the slightest provocation, which then means the flies gape. Stylish.
I think for the rest of the morning I will dress the children and sort through their in-use clothing; their chest of drawers and wardrobe are groaning at the seams and it needs to be winnowed at least a bit.
This week I need them both to have their shoes checked for fit, too, because they both seem to have longer, straighter, wider toes than they had a week ago. Emer definitely needs new socks.
