Two of my daughters-in-law had C-sections - one of them twice (twins and then a single baby a year later!) - and were fine both during and afterward, in spite of their great disappointment at not giving birth 'normally'. However, their situations were nowhere near as difficult as yours. Thinking of you, and wishing you all the best for 'the big day'.
