Meme: Five things
What were you doing ten years ago?
Being 17, mainly. That was, as I recall, very time-consuming and emotionally draining.
What were you doing one year ago?
Being incredulous at parenting books apparently. Rejoicing in my ability to wear trousers without agony.
Five snacks you enjoy:
Chocolate, olives, cashews, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, cake.
Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:
1) Tom Lehrer's Irish Ballad thing.
2) I can probably sing almost all of a Mass in Irish, even now.
3) The wheels on the bus go round and round (all 56 verses)
4) Various Irish songs in Irish
5) Seven thousand nursery rhymes and action songs
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire
1) Buy my mother a flat in Reading, and a year's rail-pass for Dublin-Cork and Dublin-Galway. (That's two things)
3) Buy us a tricycle
4) Buy a flatscreen TV so we could gain some space in the front room
5) Pay someone to move all the junk out of the attic and into external storage, so then we'd have to sort it out and get rid of most of it. And pay the same someone, probably, to nail up a ceiling up there.
Five things you like doing:
1) Sleeping 3-6 hours uninterrupted
2) Baking, when I have the energy
3) Cooking, ditto
4) Writing
5) Reading
Five things you would never wear again:
1) Underwired bras. Life is too short to spend it trying to find someone who makes underwear the same shape as me.
2) The school uniform. Never ever ever.
3) My wedding dress, because it will never fit over my ribcage again.
4) Painful shoes.
5) Contraction strength monitoring belt thingy. Ugh.
Five favourite toys:
1) http://www.librarything.com
2) Digital camera
3) Swings!
4) slrn
5) Whatever the newest piece of baby kit we have is, I suppose - the new buggy?
Tag five people:
And... Um. My friends list is quite capable of deciding whether or not to do this on their own. I don't like tagging people. Huh.
