Harry Potter delivered by postwoman at 8 am; she apologised for waking Rob. I couldn't get back to sleep after the interruption because of a huge and throbbing mass in the back of my mouth. I have a wisdom tooth coming through and apparently it has infected the gum around it with what tastes like spite. So I downed some painkillers and read it.

I did interrupt for a shower, and for forays into the medicine box looking for something to take the pain away.

Eventually I got out of bed and ventured into the garden, but it was too hot to sit there. I tried sitting in the shade for a while, but that didn't work either. Rob was making the cupboard doors.

I rounded off the day by coming out of my stupor long enough to toddle over to Janice's and do a few hours of helping her sew. Then Rob and I went out to dinner and had some great curry followed by icecream, and then we went home and back to reading our regular books.

Thank heaven for electric fans.
