Adminny

I've been catching up with laundry, what with it being 30C in the garden before noon, and then doing indoor admin things. So today I've submitted two paintings to an exhibition in mid-June (party at mine!) and ordered forms to renew Emer's passport.

My mother has gone home, after two weeks here. We're doing much better. No-one is particularly ill. Astrid had her at-home sleep-study but because she doesn't sleep very deeply with anything on her feet, it may not have been good enough. We have an appointment in mid-June to find out.

We need to get back to water conservation, because we're going to need to water the garden. We definitely need to water the potatoes and hanging basket. Also, we need to go back and plant more things, because various things were viciously uprooted by inquisitive children and/or cats.

Very relieved to read this - I saw your 'my mother has gone' tweet and it scared me! Very glad that all is going better.

Can you use grey water for the garden some of the time? During our last drought we kept plastic buckets in the tub to collect shower water and reused rinse water from the kitchen dishes and pans. It wasn't enough for the lawn but did serve well for our small veg and flower patch as well as for pots of flowers on the patio.
